Continuing Education
Greenscape has created a presentation on the fundamental aspects of water features, how they are designed, engineered and constructed. We are registered with both the AIA and ASLA and can offer 1 credit hour of continuing education upon completion of the presentation.
Our presentation is in three parts:
- The first third will show the basic way water behaves and how it can impact the built environment. Examples of famous water features around the globe will help show how designers have used water creatively and effectively to obtain different effects.
- The second part of the presentation will explain how the mechanical, electrical and plumbing components work to control water flow. Here we will seek to shed light on the complexity of the engineering systems that, for the most part, are buried underground.
- Finally we will demonstrate principals that architects and landscape architects will want to keep in mind at the beginning of the design process so that the mep design will integrate seamlessly with their aesthetic design.
We are preparing another presentation on sustainable water features that we hope to have ready by January of 2010.
